This policy applies to paid PDF workbooks and other digital products purchased directly from Open Philosophy Library.
Digital delivery
Digital products are supplied electronically. After successful payment, the purchaser receives access to the download on the order-confirmation page and by email. Nothing needs to be returned by post.
Cancellation before downloading
UK consumers normally have a 14-day cancellation period for distance contracts. At checkout, you will be asked to request immediate supply of the digital product and acknowledge that your cancellation right will be lost once the download or immediate digital access begins. If access has not begun, contact us within 14 days of purchase if you wish to cancel.
After access or download
Once immediate access or downloading has begun with your express consent and acknowledgement, we do not normally provide a refund merely because you have changed your mind. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Faulty, misdescribed or inaccessible files
If a PDF is faulty, materially different from its description, incomplete, or cannot be accessed using the supplied link, contact us with your order number and a description of the problem. We will first provide a replacement file, renewed download access or another appropriate correction within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. If the problem cannot be corrected, you may be entitled to a price reduction or refund under applicable consumer law.
Duplicate purchases and delivery problems
Please contact us if you are charged twice for the same order or do not receive your download email. We will investigate and correct confirmed duplicate charges or delivery errors.
Approved refunds
Where a refund is due, it will be returned to the original payment method without undue delay and normally within 14 days after we agree that the refund is payable. Your bank or card provider may require additional processing time.
